have not shot yet, however, it is extremely sturdy. the sight spring stays in place, creating tension, and also the holes are threaded, preventing it from just breaking loose after a few shots. and also, you need to screw it in via allan wrench (provided), and also on the other end via a type of screw simular to on used on scope rings. overall, especially if loctite is used, this should be perfect (sportsman guide has the same mount, and the reviews are positive, including a guy that has 40 rounds through it and it holds zero). i used a scout scope on my m44 mosin, and it sucked. this mount in 10x more sturdy than that POS. this mount is legit. buy one (at 20 bucks, what do you have to loose?), install it, and see for yourself. you will see what a pain it is to line up the holes with the spring still in, and then see that there is now way that it will work itself loose......also, i hate scopes, but this mounts seems to be perfect. e-mail me if you want range results with pics, i will reply. (vz-24 used)
