This is a perfect fit! I ordered two, and they are just perfect. They are a great improvement to both the look and feel of the rifles. Also, you don't have to remove the metal plate: just unscrew the two screws and use them to fasten the pad. Your rifle will look just like the one in the picture (you can see the metal plate in the photo). I'm very pleased!

Great addition to the AK. The combination of extending the length of the stock by an inch with the absorption of recoil is a big plus.
